Barbara's expertise extends internationally working for The World Bank, Global Financing Facility, The Global Knowledge Initiative, The African Development Bank and The Global Fund to Fight Aids, TB and Malaria. Nine times, Barbara has worked across the Africa continent from [Mozambique and Rwanda] to the northern tip [Tunis] to the southern most part [Cape Town].
And as the producer of record for the National Medals of Science and of Techology & Innovation, Barbara has interviewed and created dynamic profiles for more than 275 laureates.
“As one of eight producers worldwide selected by The Global Fund’s Access to Life Project, I documented the stories of people in the Townships of Cape Town, South Africa living with HIV -- how they struggled with the illness and also flourished after taking lifesaving ARV treatment. For me the story about how scientific advances can stem a global disease and of how government can adopt health practices at a community level to help its most vulnerable was best told through the personal journeys of Lumka, Litho, Bulelwa Alfred, Richmond, and Nobizandile.”
We at Evolving love hearing about any potential projects so please feel free to contact us with any questions or comments you may have.
